The first few days of January were spent in peak Lulu mode—horizontal, snug in comfy clothes, nose buried in a good book, and surrounded by blissful peace and quiet. This much-needed hibernation started in the serene embrace of Arusha and carried on once I got back home. Honestly, everyone should get a doctor’s note prescribing this kind of post-holiday reset—it’s the perfect way to transition into the new year. Did it fully recharge my batteries? Eh, not quite. But oh, how wonderfully necessary it was to hit pause before diving back into the chaos of work!

Back to the grind! My first week back at work , and naturally, I pictured it easing into the new year like a gentle sunrise. You know, slowly building up that 2025 momentum and shaking off the holiday hibernation vibes. Did it happen? Not exactly! Monday kicked off at full throttle with back-to-back meetings before my coffee even had a chance to say, “Good morning.” But hey, no complaints here—getting that energy boost right from the get-go was welcomed with open arms. ☕️ 🌅

Aside from playing the forgetful game of “Where Did I Leave Last Year’s Projects?” as I shut down my laptop and bid farewell to my 2024 office space, my mornings were a whirlwind of one meeting here and another meeting there. It’s like my calendar decided to throw a non-stop party, and everyone’s invited! 📅

And guess what? A recurring theme this week—and one I predict will stick around all year—is dishing out career advice to fresh grads and young eager beavers psyched to dive into the tech industry. It’s been a fun mix of sharing wisdom and reliving my own entry-level stories, proving that while the tech world evolves, the quest for guidance remains timeless. 🧙‍♀️
